UNHOLY DISTRACTIONS  

   As Jesus reflects and prays in the desert in preparation for his life of ministry, the devil tries to distract him from seeking and doing God’s will. The devil tries to get Jesus to misuse his gifts.

     We, too, are called to seek and do God’s will in our lives. We, too, are called to use our gifts well for the Reign of God.  Are you reflecting on the Scriptures and praying for the wisdom and strength to do that?  It is so easy for many of us to be distracted from recognizing how God is trying to speak to us.  It’s too easy to turn on the TV and veg. We procrastinate.  We can be lazy.  Due to unholy distractions we do not focus on our lives as daughters and sons of God.  Try to say “no” to those unholy distractions and “yes” to God who invites us to be renewed, grow in our spiritual lives and be better people.

DISTRACCIONES MUNDANAS

Mientras Jesús reflexiona y ora en el desierto en preparación para su vida ministerial, el diablo trata de distraerlo de buscar y hacer la voluntad de Dios. El diablo trata de hacer que Jesús haga mal uso

 de sus dones.
Nosotros también estamos llamados a buscar y hacer la voluntad de Dios en nuestras vidas. Nosotros también estamos llamados a usar bien nuestros dones para el Reino de Dios. ¿Estás  reflexionando sobre las Escrituras y pidiendo sabiduría y fuerza para hacerlo? Es muy fácil para muchos de nosotros distraernos de reconocer cómo Dios está tratando de hablarnos. Es demasiado fácil prender el televisor y relajarnos. Podemos postergar y ser perezosos. Debido a las distracciones mundanas, no nos enfocamos en nuestras vidas como hijas e hijos de Dios. Trata de decir "no" a esas mundanas  distracciones y "sí" a Dios que nos invita a renovarnos, crecer en nuestra vida espiritual y

ser mejores personas.
