Do it Now Before it’s Too Late

Isaiah 55:6-9     Philippians 1:20-24,27     Matthew 20:1-16

So many people fall into the trap of procrastination.  We say, “Oh, not now, I’ll take care of it later.”  Then “later” never arrives or it’s too late.  Isaiah tells his listeners to seek God now “while he is near.” 

     In our materialistic world it is easy to put our spiritual and religious lives to the side thinking that we will take care of those things later when we have time.  Big mistake.  So often the longer we put something aside, the harder it will be to pick it up again.  If you are lacking in your spiritual life, the Lord is inviting you now to take care of it.  If one has become slack in the practice of their faith, the Lord’s call is to take care of it now. 

     We’re all invited to board the train of salvation, don’t wait until the train has left the station.

Hagalo Ahora Antes Que Sea Muy Tarde

     Tanta gente cae en la trampa de la decidía. Nosotros decimos, "Oh, ahorita no, yo hare esto  más tarde." Entonces "más tarde" nunca llega o es demasiado tarde. Isaías le dice a sus oyentes que busquen a Dios ahora "mientras esté cerca".

     En nuestro mundo materialista es fácil poner nuestra vida espiritual y religiosa a un lado pensando que nos encargaremos de esas cosas más tarde cuando tengamos tiempo. Gran error. Tan a menudo en cuanto más tiempo ponemos algo a un lado, más difícil será recogerlo de nuevo. Si le falta su vida espiritual, el Señor le está invitando ahora a cuidarla. Si uno se ha relajado en la práctica de su fe, el llamado del Señor es cuidarlo ahora.

     Estamos todos invitados a abordar el tren de la salvación, no espere hasta que el tren haya salido de la estación.
