Correct Priorities

Wisdom 9:13-18     Philemon 9-10,12-17     Luke 14:25-33

For any kind of success in our lives we have to have our priorities right.  If one wants to be a good student, make sure you have your priorities right.  Want to be good at your job?  Make sure your priorities are correct.  If you want to be a good parent and spouse, be faithful to your priorities.  Above all these, if you want to be a faithful child and servant of God, your priorities need to be in order.

Jesus tell us today, using dramatic images, that he needs to be the number one priority before all else.  We can only be the students, the parents, the children, the spouses that God wants us to be if we keep God first.  Paul tells Philemon that he is to see Onesimus no longer as an escaped slave but, before all else, as a brother in Christ.  Again, correct priorities.

So let us be sure to keep our priorities in the right order.

Prioridades Correctas
