Come, Holy Spirit!
Acts 2:1-11 1 Corinthians 12:3-7,12-13 John 20:19-23
What would your body be if it did not have blood flowing through it? Dead. Just so, the Church cannot be the living Body of Christ if we do not have the Holy Spirit. We celebrate today that it is the Holy Spirit, flowing through the lives of believers, that gives us life, hope and strength. Despite the human flaws of the institutional Church it is the Holy Spirit, living among and within the believers, that allows us to grow in holiness, goodness and love (thus, conquering our human flaws). Come, Holy Spirit, and fill the hearts of the faithful and kindle in us the fire of your love!
Today is, for all practical purposes, the birthday of the Church. The disciples are filled with power and boldly go out everywhere to proclaim the Good News. So let us celebrate our birthday (our 1986th) by doing the same, to confidently proclaim the good news of salvation in Christ to all people in our words and actions. Come, Holy Spirit, and fill the hearts of the faithful and kindle in us the fire of your love!

¡Ven, Espíritu Santo!
Hechos 2: 1-11 1 Corintios 12: 3-7,12-13 Juan 20: 19-23
¿Que sería de tu cuerpo si no tuviera sangre fluyendo a través de él? Muerto. Así, la Iglesia no puede ser el Cuerpo viviente de Cristo si no tenemos al Espíritu Santo. Celebramos hoy que es el Espíritu Santo, que fluye a través de las vidas de los creyentes, lo que nos da vida, esperanza y fortaleza. A pesar de las fallas humanas de la Iglesia institucional, es el Espíritu Santo, que vive entre y dentro de los creyentes, lo que nos permite crecer en santidad, bondad y amor (por lo tanto, conquistando nuestras fallas humanas). ¡Ven, Espíritu Santo, y llena los corazones de los fieles y enciende en nosotros el fuego de tu amor!
Hoy es, prácticamente, el cumpleaños de la Iglesia. Los discípulos, llenos de poder y valor, salen a todas partes para proclamar la Buena Nueva. Así que hoy, celebremos nuestro cumpleaños (nuestro 1986o) haciendo lo mismo que hicieron los discípulos. Proclamemos la buena nueva de la salvación a todas las personas con nuestras palabras y acciones. ¡Ven, Espíritu Santo, y llena los corazones de los fieles y enciende en nosotros el fuego de tu amor!
